This course, one of two halo fitting instruction courses, deals with patient assessment; patient measurements; fitting of the Halo; patient care during the treatment period, and the removal of the Halo orthosis. It also discusses a list of potential problems that may arise during fitting process; during patient treatment; how to deal with them and suggestions on how to avoid these problems when applying the Halo orthosis. Another video is available from SPS. That video covers the history of the device, the indications for Halo use, and the anatomy of cervical fractures.
